How do I choose a treatment?
Start with the concern you would like to discuss. A consultation considers your skin, medical history and expectations, and explains suitable options, alternatives and costs. You do not need to decide on a treatment in advance.
What happens at a consultation?
You can discuss your goals, ask questions and review the likely benefits and risks. Medical history, medicines, allergies and previous treatments are considered before a plan is agreed.
Is there any downtime?
This depends on the treatment and your individual response. Redness, swelling, bruising or sensitivity may occur. Your practitioner will explain recovery and aftercare before you decide.
Can treatments be combined?
Some treatments may be combined or spaced apart, depending on suitability. Tell your practitioner about recent and planned procedures so the timing can be assessed.
Are treatments suitable for everyone?
No. Your health, medicines, skin condition and pregnancy or breastfeeding status may affect suitability. Prescription treatments require an assessment by an appropriate prescriber.
